Hello readers!

Well Peak Events has been busy. We just finished wrapping up a proposal for our annual Oktoberfest event, and hopefully we will be hearing good news today! We had some great news last week! We will be working with Northern Arizona University on the 2009 Native American Programs Golf Tournament. We are very excited and are already getting started, even though the event won’t be held until October.
Christina and I spent all day yesterday touring different wedding locations around town, as well as some bridal shops. Since Christina is new to town, we felt we should show her the most popular places to get married. We stopped first at the local bridal shop, Pure Elegance. We couldn’t believe that we were the only wedding planners in town to have our business cards displayed there. Then it was off to wedding locations. We went to the Elks Lodge, then way out to the Chapel of the Holy Dove. On our way back we stopped by the Nordic Center. That was a very nice location and perfect for all Flagstaff Brides. You have a beautiful meadow to get married in, and then they bring in a large tent for the reception. Not to mention the bride and groom get their own yurt for the night of the wedding. My aunt Terri would appreciate that, since she owns a yurt in Washington. We of course had to stop for lunch, but then it was off to Foxboro. Foxboro is just 20 miles south of Flagstaff and a new housing development is going up there. We drove up and Christina and I both let out a big “OH MY GOD”. It was stunning. You drive through a beautiful gate and up to the clubhouse. The clubhouse is a log cabin with wrap around decks and its own lake in the back. You walk in the doors and see amazing views through floor to ceiling windows. The furniture was to die for and you had to walk around a LARGE tree in the middle of the room! We met a wonderful woman named Suzanne. She was more than happy to sit down and talk to us. They have 264 acres that won’t be touched by homes. The home sites are around the perimeter of Foxboro, and as of now there are only 2 homes that are completed. They have 3 lakes that are all fully stocked. You get to drive across not one but two covered bridges. It was stunning, both Christina and I wanted to get married there. And the great news is they are very open to holding weddings, corporate events and possibly festivals!
It was a busy day, but a very productive one!

Welcome to Peak Event’s Blog!!!

I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful company! I can’t tell you how much I have learned about these two wonderful women in such a short period of time. We have had quite the interesting conversations and jokes. I am never short of a laugh with these two women. We aren’t just laughs though! Being with Debbie and Jennifer has reminded me of why I LOVE being an event planner. We are in the midst of swirls of projects; this company has a big heart made of Gold! I am excited of the progress we have made with this company. As a wedding coordinator I am excited to bring a new aspect to Peak Events!

In January we attended an ISES meeting in Phoenix, this was a thrilling event for me. I have attended ISES meetings in LA, but thoroughly enjoyed meeting a new group of people in Phoenix. The event was set up as round table discussions, which gave each of us a chance to spread our wings (and our networks) with new groups of people. Plus the food was DIVINE!!!! This trip had dual purpose though; we also met with several rental vendors which was a great extension of our networks! It was kind of like finding new fabulous shoes…On sale!
I am enjoying exploring Flagstaff, meeting the great people in this town, and making new friends. And I look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,
Christina Restivo

We are a Strange Group!

Wow, for the last 3 hours the three of us (Debbi, Christina and I) have been emailing back and forth. And you might say, why is that strange? Well we could call because we aren't talking about anything important, well except for WINE! That is always important. Its strange because my mother and I are emailing each other from the same house. She is on the top floor at her desk, and I am below at my desk. And Christina really wants to be in the next room with us. STRANGE!

Strange as it is, its a lot of fun! And I can't wait to buy that cute office so we can do this sitting next to each other, drinking a great glass of Pinot Nior!

CHEERS!!!!!

What a wonderful week

Hello fellow bloggers, my name is Jennifer and I am part owner of Peak Events! I've grown up here in Flagstaff and I know just what a wonderful place it is to live. Which is why I was so excited when my mother and I decided to start Peak Events! As I'm sure you are aware, we are a full service event and wedding planning company in Northern Arizona. But enough about that.

We have been very busy the last two months. We've brought Christina on board who specializes in weddings but isn't afraid to dive into our other ventures. Christina is a fun, outgoing, smart, organized and beautiful person. And we couldn't be happier to have her on our team.

So let's see, currently we are helping some friends put on their annual tax conference. We have recently teamed up with our local Habitat for Hummanity Chapter to put on the first ever Home Aid Concert in September. Last but certainly not least, we are working on our 2nd Annual Oktoberfest! This is one of our signature events that we put on start to finish. We've spent the last week coming up with his years timeline, debating over which charity will benefit (we make sure that all of our events benefit a non profit) and getting some quotes from rental companies. Now, you may be thinking why start planning an event now when the event isn't until October. Well it really does take that long to get everything perfect. We have to get bands, volunteers, beer, food, vendors not to mention a tent, stage, tables and chairs! Its a long process that pays off in the end with a great event for Flagstaff!

Well I guess that's all for now, I'm sure Christina will be next to blog :) Stay tuned to see what else we've been up to...
